An Intelligence-Fair Test

  • Identify which intelligence or intelligences (1-2) are your greatest strengths.

  • Create an intelligence-fair assessment to demonstrate an understanding of theories and principles from Ormrod, Chapter 2--Cognitive & Linguistic Development (pp. 18-41) and Chapter 3--Personal, Moral & Social Development (pp. 67-72, 86-91).

  • Create an assessment that shows you know this material through your intelligence (can show breadth or depth--cover just one theory or major topic in-depth or an overview of all theories or topics). You can do this assessment by yourself or with a partner.

  • Make your assessment show in some way how the principles you learned about apply to teaching.

  • Next week either hand in your assessment at the beginning of class or take a few minutes in class (but no more than 10 min.) to show or explain your assessment.
